The Mighty Ducks Cast Reunited at a Hockey Game Over the Weekend
A Number of cast members from The Mighty Ducks franchise reunited with each other at a Current Anaheim Ducks Baseball game. It has been over 20 years since we last saw the scrappy, young hockey team out on the ice, however for a lot of those who grew up on Disney films from the 90s, this still remains a nostalgic staple. Therefore, it ought to delight quite a few people out there to watch Kenan Thompson, Danny Tamberelli, Garette Ratliff Henson, Vincent LaRusso and Colombe Jacobsen-Derstine all gather back together once again. The official Instagram accounts for Anaheim Ducks shared with a photograph of them all gathered with the next caption.
“The quack attack is back, Jack! Glad to have a few Mighty Ducks join us for the game, and a few other fun projects, today on Long Island.”
Garette Ratliff Henson, Vincent LaRusso and Danny Tamberelli all starred at the very first 1992 Film, Together with both Kenan Thompson and Colombe Jacobsen-Derstine joining up for Two of the sequels, D2: The Mighty Ducks and D3: The Mighty Ducks, They were released in 1994 and 1996, respectively. They all appeared at the stadium in New York with amazing jerseys which showcased their character names, together with Tamberelli as Tommy Duncan, Ratliff Henson as Guy Germaine, Jacobsen-Derstine as Julie”The Cat” Gaffney” and LaRusso as Adam Banks. Tamberelli chose to take to Instagram to discuss his enthusiasm for the adventure.
“What a sweet day!! Thanks to the Anaheim Ducks for a great day reliving my #mightyducks season with some old friends.”
While 90s children are surely pleased to see that the cast reunited in many photos, many would likely like to watch them back together on the screen. Could this actually be possible? There’s been a discussion of The Mighty Ducks 4 possibly occurring over time, together with The Goldbergs founder Adam F. Goldberg revealing in 2015 he pitched the idea to Disney at one point. And the prior-cast is receptive to this thought. At a 2014 interview with Time, Carsten Norgaard, who played with Wolf”The Dentist” Stansson, disclosed that he is getting his equipment ready and would be pleased to take that call.
“Over the years, I’ve heard rumors of it. And it’s kind of interesting, with the impact that it has had on so many kids, that a fourth hasn’t been made, or a TV series hasn’t been made of it. But it’s a good trilogy as it is. But other than rumors, I don’t know any more about it. I can tell you that when I left the Ducks, I got all my gear and my skates and everything in a big, beautiful ice hockey bag, and it still sits in one of my closets ready to go.”
Even though a big screen revival might not be on the horizon, it was disclosed last year that a TV series based on The Mighty Ducks is currently in the works for its forthcoming Disney+ streaming support. So at least we have this to look forward to in the not-too-distant future. Make Sure You check out the reunion photo under in the Anaheim Ducks Instagram account.
